Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens

Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens

Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens is considered to be “The Finest Woodland Gardens in England” and are located in Lower Beeding near Horsham in West Sussex. The Grade I listed gardens are set on the 240-acre estate and feature outstanding scenery throughout the year.

The gardens are famed for outstanding displays of flowers and the beautiful ornamental rock garden. There are numerous walks through the gardens and parkland. You can see a rare colony of wallabies that were introduced in 1889 as well as several species of deer.

Also on-site there is a Dolls’ House museum. The extensive collection depicts the Edwardian estate and neighbouring villages at 1:12 scale with landscapes and characters acting out day-to-day activities. Visitors of all ages are fascinated both with the wealth of detail in the displays and the outstanding level of craftsmanship involved in their creation. They also hold special events including special Enchanted events with unicorn rides, faeries and other mythical creatures.

There is now a new play area spanning 2500m2 and designed to captivate children of all ages. Fuel your child’s imagination with a climb up the 5m multi-level champion tree and slide, where the sky’s the limit for creativity. Conquer St Leonard’s Dragon and ascend on its webbed wings or experience the thrill of a 32.5m zipline ride that promises excitement for the whole family. Build a teepee den, navigate balancing beams, and swing into joy on one of our many swings, including baskets, cradles, and more.
