Llandudno Cable Cars

There are four ways to get to the summit of the Great Orme near Llandudno in North Wales. You can walk, drive, take the tramway or take one of their cable cars. The cable cars are seasonal, and weather dependent. They offer amazing views of the seaside town.
The cable cars were first opened in 1969 and take visitors between Happy Valley and the Great Orme summit. There can be large queues during peak times so plan your day out well including alternative options.
There is often the possibility that the cable car may be able to take you up but then it might be shut for your journey back down. Buses are available if this happens, although there is a small charge for this. Wrap up warm as well as the cars are open-sided. They only permit 2 people per car although they sometimes allow one adult and 2 children depending on weight. Please note that they only take cash and tickets are not transferable for use on the Tramway.
