Moonfleet adventure Sailing

Moonfleet Adventure Sailing runs from the Portland Marina and Boatyard in Portland, Essex. They run boat trips from the marina out into Weymouth Bay and other destinations along Dorset’s beautiful coastline.

Moonfleet is a tall ship from the 1930s which was built by the seafaring people of Holland. During her early working life, she took cargo from Amsterdam to neighbouring countries on the North Sea. She has had other uses in her past and is now used for the enjoyment of tourists.

As they run a variety of excursions it is recommended that you visit them to see what sailings they have that day. You can even try out various activities when onboard. The Book My Trip link on their website also shows what planned voyage they have for that day. Children of all ages are welcome aboard their regular sailings and they will do everything they can to get them involved with every aspect of sailing the ship from raising the sails to taking the helm.

They offer a fun Walk the Plank adventure experience. You will have a 3-hour sailing experience that starts in Portland Harbour and finishes at Lulworth Cove. There is the opportunity to jump ship (walk the plank) and swim to your afternoon’s coasteering adventure. Children can take part from the age of 11.
