Museum of Brands

Museum of Brands

Located on Lancaster Road in Notting Hill London is the Museum of Brands. It is just around the corner from the world-famous Portobello Road Market so it’s a great place to combine with a visit here. The museum celebrates the history of consumer culture from Victorian times to the present day.

What is there to see at the Museum of Brands

The museum has over 12,000 original advertising items including domestic everyday products such as packaging, posters, toys and games. It’s a great place for all generations to see how advertising has evolved. The museum takes the form of a “Time Tunnel” as you are taken on a journey through 200 years of advertising. Remember the taste of Spangle and the scent of Aqua Manda, spot Meccano sets and sing your favourite jingles as you walk down memory lane.

They often have family-friendly trails on offer so make sure you enquire when you arrive for your visit. They also host a number of temporary exhibitions throughout the year, many of which are great for families. There is also a pretty south-facing microclimate courtyard garden kept looking great by fantastic volunteer gardeners.
