Museum of the Broads
Museum Overview
The Museum of the Broads is located in Stalham, Norfolk. It brings the story of the Broads alive which are a network of mostly navigable rivers and lakes in the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk. There are nearly 6,000 items in the museum’s collection including iconic boats, a water bicycle, models showing life 1,000 years ago, tools and more. The museum encourages visitors to engage with the collection and be inspired and help discover the local heritage.
You can take a ride (additional charge) on their boat the Falcon which is a unique Victorian steamboat or the Marsh Harrier, their electric boat. The museum offers trails and activities for all ages. They also run a number of events including family-friendly activities. Kids can dress up, learn Morse code, tie knots, steer their static boat and let off steam on their land-locked play boat.

What are the ticket prices?
Museum entrance for adults is £7, children aged 13-18 £3 and under 12 are free. Boat trips 30 minutes adults £6, children £3. 60 minute trips adults £8, children £4 and under 3s are free.

Is there parking?
Please park at Richardson’s Boatyard which is 50 metres walk from the Museum.
