Things to do at National Botanic Garden of Wales review
The National Botanic Garden of Wales is located close to Llanarthne in Dyfed, South Wales. (Welsh: Gardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru). The garden is both a visitor attraction and a centre for botanical research and conservation. It features the world’s largest single-span glasshouse measuring 110m long by 60m wide.
The site extends to 568 acres and there are many rare and threatened plants within the gardens. The glasshouse sits virtually on the same site as Paxton’s demolished Middleton Hall. The glasshouse houses plants from Chile, the Mediterranean, Western Australia, South Africa, California and the Canary Islands.
There is a double-walled garden that contains a kitchen garden and ornamental beds. The site is an enchanting mosaic of flower-rich meadows, woodlands, waterfalls and cascades,
The Roots and Shoots adventure zone is a place for children to jump, crawl, slide and swing. There is a dedicated toddlers area, plus a zip wire, swings, trampoline, roundabout, a multi-activity centre and more.

There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.

Other pricing options are available including family passes. There is a small additional charge to visit the Bird of Prey centre.
