New Ark Adventure Playground
The New Ark Adventure Playground is a city-based outdoor space for children of all ages. It is based in a woodland area with a sensory garden and a small orchard. Children can observe the life cycles of the wild creatures that visit the playground.
What is there to do at New Ark Adventure Playground?
It has been open to the local community for almost 50 years and hopefully for many years to come. Many of the structures in the playground are handmade on-site using traditional building materials and discarded industrial parts. Children can explore risk in a controlled environment supervised by professional playworkers.
Also on-site is the only City Farm in the eastern counties. They have a variety of animals, and birds on the farm and children can learn how to handle and care for them under the supervision of their staff. In the eco-centre, there are both purpose-built and loose natural play structures which are generally suitable for younger children.
