North Yorkshire Water Park
North Yorkshire water park is located in Wykeham, near Scarborough. It is a great place to enjoy outdoor water sports and with a recently added all-terrain track it’s also a perfect place for a walk, run or cycle away from traffic. The park also now has a new wooden play area, a zip wire and a new cafe.
What can you do at North Yorkshire Water Park?
The all-terrain gravel path follows the lake for around 2.5km. When we visited in the late spring it was a haven for wildlife and as well as spotting many water birds we also found more caterpillars than we’ve ever seen in our lives. For some of the walk, you can also watch the people enjoying activities on and in the lake.
As well as offering open water swimming sessions there are also plenty of other water sports on offer. In the warmer months, there is a large inflatable aquapark course. They also have stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and some really fun pedalos. Plus some mini electric ships.
There are also three well-stocked fishing lakes just a short walk from the water park with a trout lake, a coarse lake and a predator lake.
