Observatory Science Centre
The Observatory Science Centre is located in Herstmonceux near Eastbourne, Sussex. It is an interactive, educational and historical attraction. The centre provides hands-on science activities among the domes and telescopes of a world-famous astronomical observatory. They offer science for everyone and they are open daily from the beginning of February until the end of November.
Outdoors there is a fun adventure playground. There are large-scale interactive exhibits with water play and more. This is not open during the colder months and may close in bad weather.
Indoors there are exhibits that teach you all about forces and the earth and beyond. Plus light and colour, astronomy and time. Events include themed evenings, all-day astronomy events, family evenings and more. You can purchase a joint ticket with Herstmonceaux Castle and Gardens.
