Things to do at Rushcliffe Country Park review

Rushcliffe Country Park is located a short drive from the city Centre of Nottingham. Set in the picturesque countryside about half a mile south of Ruddington. The park is approximately 210 acres in size and it is a good family-friendly place to visit.

The park has a network of over 8 kilometres of footpaths with grassland, conservation and landscaped areas. It is a great place for walking, cycling, running and spotting wildlife. There is an extensive play area with around 20 pieces of modern equipment for children up to the age of 12. Part of the equipment is accessible to wheelchair users. The play area has an 8-metre tall medieval city plus railway-themed play equipment, a large sandpit and more.

For older children, there is a skateboard midi half-pipe and a 4X/BMX cycle track situated nearby. The skatepark has seen a recent modernisation and it is suitable for skateboards, BMXs and scooters. There is also a wide range of outdoor exercise equipment that is free to use. Two table tennis tables are available free to use by the play area. There are several interactive trails around the park all made by volunteers. The trail sheets are available for sale in the visitor centre.

Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places still require you to pre-book online in advance.
