Scampston Walled Garden is located in Scampston, North Yorkshire, a few miles away from Malton. It is a walled garden with a modern design by Piert Oudolf that is set in a Capability Brown park.

What is there to do at Scampston Walled Garden?

Scampston Hall is home to the Legard family and it is one of the finest examples of a regency country house in North Yorkshire. Today you can book guided tours to see around the house. The walled gardens feature modern planting alongside more traditional areas. It has a very modern feel to it and it is not at all like your typical walled garden. The gardens were once derelict and were restored and then reopened in 2005.

Within the grounds, kids will enjoy the Fairy Forest Woodland walk and natural play with a relatively new play area. There are a number of designated trails through the parkland which allow you to discover some of the more interesting features. Maps are included in your visitor guide. They host a number of annual family-friendly events.
