Selly Manor Museum

Museum Overview

Selly Manor Museum is located in Bournville, West Midlands. It is a Tudor timber-framed building that was moved to its current site in 1916 by the chocolate manufacturer and philanthropist George Cadbury.

It has been a museum since 1916 and it gives people of all ages a chance to immerse themselves in their and Bournville’s history. The museum also hosts a number of annual events and it is home to a unique collection of furniture and domestic objects that are intended to give the feel of a house from the 17th century.

You can see the priest-hole in the garret and dress up in Tudor costumes, try on armour and play games. You will also be able to find out what a cottage garden of the Tudor period would have looked like.
