Southsea Skatepark

Southsea Skatepark is located on the Clarence Esplanade in Southsea, Hampshire. They are thought to be the oldest and the most iconic skatepark in the UK. The Skatepark is open all year round and they welcome everyone from beginners to pros. The park is operated by a charity with all the income going towards improving the park and keeping it open.

There is a contemporary street/park section which includes a state-of-the-art vert ramp, spine mini and a 4ft metal mini. The Skatepark covers a range of styles and challenges. The vert is surrounded by the iconic bandstand with a rink area that was once used just for roller hockey.

The venue has helmets, skates, skateboards and a limited number of scooters available to hire at reasonable rates. You can of course bring your own wheels. Spectators are welcome at no charge whenever the park is open. They welcome skateboards, BMXs, scooters and rollerblades at the Skatepark. They also run coaching sessions for newbies or for those looking to improve their skills.

Entry costs £5 pp for a 2-hour session, a 3-hour session £7. The lessons are £10 pp.
