The Spring Lakes Watersports and Leisure Centre is located close to Long Eaton in Nottinghamshire. It is great fun for all the family and there’s even a beach so everyone can enjoy a day out there. Plus they have a variety of watersports that you can have a go at.

Things to do at Spring Lakes Watersports and Leisure Centre

They have stand-up paddle boarding, open water swimming, wakeboarding and even wakeboarding lessons. They will soon offer fishing and there will be a campsite. Their Aquapark offers a range of inflatable slides, climbing walls and a variety of obstacles.

There is even an epic catapult that you can catapult yourselves out of. The Aquapark is suitable for kids over the age of 6 and adults can, of course, take part too. Children aged between 6 and 9 years must be accompanied by an adult on the Aquapark at all times. There are also age restrictions for some of the water sports.

You can have a go at Ringo Riding on the lake. You will need to hold on tight as you are pulled across the water on an inflatable ring. Sessions last for 20 minutes. They also have pedalos that you can hire for 2 to 4 people. Plus there are bumper boats.

Their Beach Resort is somewhere where kids can build sandcastles and splash about in the water. There are over 50 metres of shoreline in the beach area. A buoyancy aid is highly recommended for children under 6. Water shoes or sandals are also recommended as they have freshwater mussels. Booking online in advance is advisable for the beach. They are busy creating walking and cycling trails plus a pump track for children. You can enjoy bird watching and there will soon be a bird hide.

Please note that for the aqua park, both wakeboarding cables and stand-up paddleboards, they ask that you are able to swim 50 meters unaided and are confident in deep open water. They have changing rooms and they can even host your child’s birthday party.
