Sutton Bank National Park Centre

The Sutton Bank National Park enjoys some of the finest views in England across the Vales of Mowbray and York. It’s a great place for walking and family bike rides. Sutton Bank is a hill in the North York Moors National Park.

What can you do at Sutton Bank National Park Centre?

As well as walking and cycling trails the park also has a new walk suitable for robust wheelchairs. The Sutton Bank easy access circuit takes in the famous White Horse before picking up the green Cliff family cycle trail and returning back along the cliff top with its amazing views. This is also great for little legs and those not wanting a too challenging walk.

In the centre itself, you can discover the stories behind the landscape at Sutton Bank and watch wild birds feeding at the feeding station. There is a fascinating interactive exhibition and this is where the cafe and toilets are.

There is a fun natural play area which is fun for kids of all ages. You can bring your own bike or hire one from Sutton Bank Bikes. As there are a number of trails it is worth enquiring about which would suit your family the most at the visitor centre.

There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.
