The Deep
The Deep is one of the UK’s largest aquariums. It is located in the Humber estuary in Hull, East Yorkshire. The Deep is very educational with lots to read and plenty of interactive exhibits.
What is there to do at The Deep?
The large coral reef tank is stunning with beautiful corals and fish swimming around. Next to here, you will find the rock pools. Here they have daily sessions where you can touch starfish and sea urchins. They also have a hands-on interactive area here.
One of The Deep’s star attractions is its Gentoo penguins. You can view them from different levels including in the water, which is great fun to see. Other exhibits include a wall of ice that you can touch, cool seas with fish local to us including new exhibitions, jellyfish tanks and more.
Endless Ocean is their largest tank with loggerhead turtles, sharks and other giant fish, they have many different viewing windows some of which are through massive panes of glass. They have a commentary here a few times a day and later in the day, you can watch divers go in to feed the fish. At the end of your visit, you can go in a lift that rises up through the main tank. A visit will take around 1.5-2 hours.
