The Hole In Wand

The Hole in Wand York is a Wizard-themed attraction located on Coppergate Walk in York, North Yorkshire. It’s a small, but fun indoor crazy golf course with wizarding drinks.

What is The Hole in Wand?

There are 9 magical holes to take on at Coppergate shopping centre. On the course, you will find bubbling cauldrons, magic portals and a giant picture frame where you become part of the painting. It’s a great place for Harry Potter fans. The holes are pretty small but they’re certainly not lacking fun or character. 

At the end of the 9 holes of crazy golf, you will find out what your powers are. Are you a Serpent, a Basilisk, a Unicorn or a Wizard? Each player can take home a magic potion gift of their very own. There is even a Wizard pub with themed drinks and food including poisonous options for grown-up spell makers. You don’t need to book a round of crazy golf to visit the tavern. They even sell Butterscotch beer with an alcoholic version for adults. You can even purchase a ticket that includes a potion drink. Children must be 3 years and over to play.

What are the ticket prices?

A standard ticket costs £6.99 for a child and £8.29 for an adult, this includes a magical drinkable potion. Other pricing options with different packages are available. Prices are subject to change and/or discounts online.

Is there parking?

There is no on-site parking. There are car parks nearby and charges apply. It is easier to access York via their park and rides rather than try and park in the centre.

Are they accessible?

There is no disabled access for holes 3-9, however, wheelchair users can play holes 1 and 2 free, of charge. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
