The Keep Military Museum
Museum Overview
The Keep Military Museum is located in Dorchester, Dorset. It is part of the former county barracks of the 39th Regiment of Foot and the 75th Regiment of Foot. The barracks were built in 1880 and are now home to a museum.
Inside the museum offers a fascinating insight into local military history. The story of the regiments is told chronologically across three floors of galleries. Make sure you visit the 4th-floor terrace as you can enjoy some wonderful views over Dorchester and beyond. You can walk through a World War One trench, try on uniforms and discover more about the objects in the museum.
