The Matthew of Bristol
The Matthew of Bristol is a replica of a historical boat in Princes Wharf, Bristol. It was a caravel ship sailed by John Cabot in 1947 from Bristol to Newfoundland in North America. They run a number of family-friendly boat trips. There is the Avon Gorge Cruise which is a 3-4 hour trip down the River Avon passing under the Clifton Suspension Bridge and back. These trips are tide dependent.
Another cruise is their Fish and Chips trip. This is a round trip around the harbour between Prince Street Bridge and the Pumphouse. Fresh fish and chips from local caterers are delivered to you on deck. Trips last for 2 hours with a 30-minute break for food.
There is also a harbour trip without fish and chips which is the cheaper of their cruises. The duration of this trip is 45-50 minutes. Plus there is a Sea Shanty Fish and Chips trip and a Fish and Chips trip with Piratitude.
