Things to do at The Mayflower museum review
The Mayflower museum is located in the centre of Plymouth in Devon. It is a museum that explores the area’s seafaring history and the 1620 voyage of the Mayflower, including a model of the famous ship.
You will be taken on a journey through time with exhibits spread across four floors covering the past four centuries. The exhibition explores the story of the Mayflower in new ways and it considers the impact of English colonisation on indigenous communities, then and now.
Kids will love the animation Turtle Island which has been created for children and young people. Period objects, maps and music tell the story of the emergence of America. They also have a new children’s trail which encourages younger visitors to learn more about the Wampanoag life and culture as well as the Mayflower and its passengers.
