The Maize Maze at Uncle Henry’s Farm near Gainsborough in Lincolnshire is a seasonal summer attraction. Although their fun outdoor play area is open all year round. Plus they have a fairy trail. The Fairy Trail invites visitors to follow the visual clues through the woods using a booklet to complete a quest set by the Fairy Queen. Each ticket provides access to Uncle Henry’s ‘Behind the Garden Wall’ which includes the use of their Jumping pillows and Crazy Golf for a 3-hour timeslot. The fairy trail is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
The playground has a fun tractor to play on, ride-ons around the outside of the play area and a pyramid ‘house’ to play in. Plus things to climb on, a sandpit, swings, a slide and more. The Maize Maze at Uncle Henry’s is enormous. They have a different theme every year. It can take up to 2 hours to complete the maze but we managed it in around 1 hour 15. Make sure you take drinks and snacks! We passed the exit at least 5 times and also the emergency exits so don’t panic, you won’t be trapped in there forever. Also, don’t forget the wellies as they can get quite muddy.
The Maize Maze is open from mid-July until late September and during the October half-term. You get a certificate at the end even if you give up. Other attractions that are part of your maize maze ticket include a giant bouncy pillow and farmyard-themed crazy golf.
