Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary

The Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary is located in Caehopkin in South Wales. They are situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park and they provide a sanctuary and a home for many types of unwanted animals.
Their rescued and rehomed animals include chimpanzees, baboons, spider monkeys and vervets. Plus capuchins, macaques, tamarins and marmosets. They also care for meerkats, wolf dogs, horses, donkeys, pigs and many other animals that need help.
Visitors are welcome to the sanctuary and to see the work they do. Their animals are not equipped for life in the wild so they make their lives as enjoyable and stress-free, as possible. They are home to more than 200 animals, and they offer many animal adoptions plus an annual pass offer so you can visit as much as you like. They are a small venue, they do not have the ‘frills’ that other venues have.
