Wild Place Project is a wildlife conservation park in Coleford, Bristol. They have a good range of animals and play areas. It is also home to a high ropes course. You can even extend your visit and stay overnight in Camp Baboon in their luxury cabins.

What is there to do at Wild Place Project?

Animals at the park include brown bears, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras and red river hogs. Walkthrough their Madagascar enclosure and see lemurs scampering around you. In other parts of the park, you will find baboons, okapi, meerkats and exotic birds.

For something a bit different they have a barefoot trail. Take off your shoes and experience different textures including pebbles, bark, soil and mud. There are mini-challenges along the way and the trail is set amongst trees, plants and flowers. You can wash your feet at the end.

There is a fort outdoor play area with a scramble net, bridge, fireman’s pole and a climbing wall. Across the park, you will discover lots of outdoor Play Wild areas including Congo Bongo, a giant bird’s nest and a woodland play area. There is even a life-sized wooden aeroplane for playing in.

Leap of Faith is an outdoor climbing adventure experience. The experience takes 40 minutes including the safety briefing. It is suitable for children aged four and over (adults can also take part). There is an additional charge for this activity. Animal experiences are also available including giraffe experience, junior keeper experience, lemurs, meerkats and more. Some experiences start with an age limit of 6 years old.
