Things to do at Windmill Animal Farm review
Windmill Animal Farm is a farm park near Burscough in Lancashire. They have animal petting sessions and animals you can feed. There are indoor and outdoor play areas and a miniature railway.
Windmill Animal Farm has been the home of the Slinger family since 1938. In 1990 after visiting a farm park in Wales they decided to do the same and opened their doors to the public in 1992. Their farm is now home to a range of rare breed and exotic farm animals. Animals you can pet include rabbits and guinea pigs. They even have bearded dragons, pythons, geckos and other reptiles.
There is a mini-train on-site which runs to the Lake View Station with a relatively new play area. It is a one mile long 15″ gauge miniature railway. Tickets are £2 per person (under 1s free), most of the money goes towards the railway’s maintenance. There are three play areas at the farm including indoor soft play which is one of the largest in the North West where kids can climb, slide, jump and play. They often have a maize maze over the summer.
They can host your child’s birthday party.
