Attraction Overview

The Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo is an indoor attraction kept at tropical temperatures where visitors can get close to exotic butterflies. You can walk amongst the butterflies as they fly around you. Visitors can also see and learn about every stage in the life of a butterfly. They are passionate about butterfly conservation.

You can also purchase discounted tickets and add on the aMazing hedge puzzle (think a box hedge maze outdoors) and Mini Golf. The maze is one of Britain’s most famous traditional hedge mazes with a romantic temple at the centre and a museum of mazes.

The miniature golf is a twelve-hole course with a Roman ruin fantasy theme. The course enjoys spectacular scenery in the Wye Valley. It is an outdoor all-weather course which is also accessible for wheelchair users. One final additional activity is laser tag which suits older children.

There is a cafe in the visitor centre which sells hot and cold food and drinks. They also have indoor and outdoor picnic areas.

What are the main things to do?

Butterfly Zoo in a tropical greenhouse, plus a hedge maze, mini golf and laser tag. There are toilets and a cafe.

What are the ticket prices?

An adult ticket for the Butterfly Zoo is £6.75, children aged 5-15 are £4.75 and children aged under 5 are free. Combined maze and zoo tickets are available. Mini golf is £4 pp for the first person and £2 pp for extra rounds.
