Ynysangharad War Memorial Park
The Ynysangharad War Memorial Park is located in the town of Pontypridd, South Wales. It was once land that was made up of allotments and fields and is now home to a popular year-round family-friendly space.
The vast open space is easy to reach by car or public transport. It is home to the stunningly restored National Lido of Wales, Ponty Lido. This has three outdoor heated pools, inflatable slides and games, lane swimming and a splash pool for the little ones.
Next to the lido, there is one of the best playgrounds in the area with themed play equipment that celebrates the industrial success of Pontypridd. The park also has tennis courts, a cricket pitch and acres of open space to enjoy and explore. They also host a number of family-friendly events such as fun days, fairs and parades.
