Things to do at Zip World Tower

Phoenix – This has two incredible zip lines and it is a record-breaker as it is the fastest seated zip line in the world (and Zip World’s steepest). You will travel at speeds of up to 70mph and there are four lines situated side by side so that you can race your family. The first line takes you down Rhigos Mountain and across the reservoir. The second line takes you back to Tower Colliery. Duration: 2 hours for the whole adventure, Minimum height of 1.2m, minimum weight of 25kg, maximum weight of 120kg. Minimum age of 7.

Tower Coaster – This is the first two-seater roller coaster of its kind in Europe. It will send you racing around the site reaching speeds of up to 25mph on more than 1 km of track. There are tunnels, banked corners, dips and peaks. Two goes are included with your ticket and you can control the speed of the coaster. Minimum height 1.05m, maximum weight per sledge of 170kg, passengers must be 4 years of age and drivers can be 9 years of age.

Tower Flyer – Side-by-side, ideal for kids or adults not quite ready to take on the adrenaline rush of Phoenix. With stunning views of the Rhigos mountain range, you’ll get kitted up in your harness by a Zip World instructor, and climb the steps to the first tower, ready for the adventure to begin. The first zip line will see you flying 115 metres alongside the historic Tower Colliery, landing on the second tower.

Slightly higher up this time, you’ll soar 80 metres on our second zip line, before landing on the third tower for your final flight. You’ll complete a further 75 metres of zip lining, and land safely on the ground, right by our Cegin Glo Bar and Bistro, making this a perfect time to grab that post-adventure snack! Minimum height for participants of 1m.

Tower Climber – ower Climber is an adventure activity course, set high above the ground! The biggest of its kind in the UK, Tower Climber Main Course boasts 3 storeys and a viewing deck and features 55 different elements and obstacles for brave adult adventurers to confront. With coal mining-themed obstacles along the way, plus various levels of fun challenges and segments, Tower Climber is a truly unique and exciting experience for all the family. Duration 1.5 hours. Restrictions apply.
