Staying at a hotel with a beachfront location or even just near a great beach is something so many families look for when it comes to booking a holiday. Tenerife in the Canary Islands has some excellent beachfront hotels and not only that but the hotels themselves have some great facilities.
In this post, we take a look at some of Tenerife’s best beach hotels in Tenerife. Most are situated right on a beach and there are a few choices at the end of this post for hotels located near a beach. 1. H10 Costa Adeje Palace – Costa Adeje
With a beach right on its doorstep and six pools, the H10 Costa Adeje Palace gets high praise on TripAdvisor. The beach is one of Tenerife’s trademark black-sand beaches.
Right next to the sea, you will also find three of the hotel’s pools. The fourth pool is heated under a beamed glass ceiling and it is a great pool for swimming lengths. Kids have a Jungle Park waterpark with kids’ slides, water jets and a tipping bucket.
Entertainment-wise there is a kid’s club for ages 4-10, evening entertainment and live music. Kids can also have fun in the outdoor play area and there are daily activities, table tennis, archery, dance classes and more.
Adults can unwind in the gym or spa that has a sauna, Turkish Bath, massage treatments, a jacuzzi and hairdressers. At this hotel, there are family rooms with a balcony or terrace.

2. H10 Las Palmeras – Playa De Las Americas
The H10 Las Palmeras is located right next to the sea. The beachfront it is on is a rocky beach and just 700m away there is a sandy beach, the best of both worlds. Nearby there are also lots of bars and restaurants plus Siam Park Waterpark is less than a 10-minute drive away.
There are two outdoor pools located side by side, one of which is heated in winter. Kids have a shallow pool for paddling that is also heated in winter. The board at the hotel is half-bard or all-inclusive. Rooms include junior suites with a balcony.
In the evening you can enjoy live music or a show plus a mini-disco. Children can make new friends at the kids’ club for ages 4-11. Other facilities include 4 tennis courts, a daytime activity programme, an indoor playground and a gym.

3. Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife – Playa Paraiso
When it comes to super cool facilities, trendy décor and a sensational location the beachfront Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife has it all. The entire property has a futuristic vibe and is the perfect destination for those seeking a stay somewhere a bit different.
The aquatic facilities are awesome, featuring three main pools including one for adult use only. Kids will be happy in the fabulous splash park that includes slides and a waterfall. It is within walking distance of a beach.
A very exciting feature of the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife is the open-air stage – the only one on the island – meaning you may be treated to some famous live acts performing whilst you are at the resort.
Kids clubs to suit all ages are available daily and offer guided activities such as hip-hop workshops, x-box competitions and music mixing classes! While the youngsters are busy adults are invited to unwind at the on-site spa where there is a whole array of treatments on offer.

4. Hotel Bahia Del Duque – Costa Adeje
The elegant Hotel Bahia Del Duque is a striking and luxurious property both inside and out. Located right on the stunning sands of Playa del Duque Beach the hotel enjoys beautiful views and offers its guests exceptionally good facilities.
All sorts of water sports are hosted on the beach for those who enjoy the kick of adrenalin, whereas if you prefer the prospect of some well-earned rest and revitalisation then there is a world-class spa offering a sensational variety of treatments. Other sports include tennis courts, squash, table tennis, aerobics and more.
There are no less than five pools, one of which is an outdoor heated swimming pool dedicated to younger guests. Some of the rooms have a private terrace area.
Mealtimes are a superb experience at the Hotel Bahia Del Duque with an astonishing eight restaurants serving dishes from all over the globe. There are also poolside bars offering snacks, refreshments and ice creams throughout the day.

5. Cleopatra Palace – Playa De Las Americas
With an Egyptian-inspired design and a beachfront setting, the Cleopatra Palace is one of the more lively hotels on our list. With a shopping centre opposite plus bars and restaurants, you can choose to eat out if you take the bed and breakfast or half-board option.
The larger of the two pools is trimmed with marble columns and majestic-looking statues and waiters will bring your order to your sunbed. Plus there is a kid’s pool. You can enjoy a range of evening entertainment including live shows, music, magic acts, animal shows and more.
Other facilities include a kids’ club, daytime activities, tennis court, mini-golf and more. There is also a spa and a gym. Rooms here can have a pool view or a sea view.

6. Hotel H10 Conquistador – Playa De Las Americas
Set in tropical gardens just across the boardwalk from Playa De Las Americas beach is the Hotel H10 Conquistador. Everything is done in style with a lagoon-like pool, sleek interiors and flowering palm gardens.
There is a good-sized pool and a smaller outdoor pool that is heated in winter plus a children’s pool. In the evening there is entertainment most nights which can include outdoor shows in the summer, a mini disco and live music.
They run a kid’s club for ages 4-12 and a teens club for ages 13-17. Activities include table tennis, tennis courts, a kid’s park and a daytime activity programme. Bedrooms include junior suites which can sleep up to 4 people.

7. Spring Hotel Bitacora – Playa De Las Americas
If you are searching for a family-friendly hotel on the sun-kissed Spanish Canary Islands then the Spring Hotel Bitacora in Tenerife is an excellent option. Located just a short stroll from the gorgeous local beaches and the bustling area of Playa de las Americas which is packed with cafes, shops and restaurants.
Back at the hotel, younger guests will love exploring and letting off steam at the huge adventure playground. There are two pools, one is aimed at fun and activities featuring a waterslide and a large shallow area for children. The other is aimed at people wanting to relax and is flanked by comfortable loungers and parasols. Manicured lawns and palm trees add some greenery to the aesthetic.
Mealtimes are enjoyed at the large international buffet-style restaurant where there are plenty of yummy cuisines to suit all tastes and board is on an all-inclusive basis. This package can be upgraded.
Other facilities include a kid’s club for younger children plus one for older children aged 12-17. Kids can enjoy movie nights and a mini-disco plus there is an evening entertainment programme. Children aged 4-12 have a playground with a zip line, climbing wall, basketball pitch and more.

8. H10 Tenerife Playa – Puerto De La Cruz
Located on the main promenade and close to the beach is the H10 Tenerife Playa. With its cutting-edge design, it really stands out from the crowd. It is also located next to a huge pool complex that isn’t part of the hotel.
In the hotel’s landscaped gardens with will find the two outdoor swimming pools, one of which is heated in the winter. There is also a smaller pool for the kids. Each week there are two progressional live shows and live music for the other 5.
You can enjoy a daily activities programme with a great range of things to do. There are a number of shops, restaurants and bars close to the hotel. Adults will love the beauty centre with a gym, sauna and Turkish Bath.

9. Hotel Tivoli La Caleta – Costa Adeje
Formerly the Sheraton the luxury 5* resort of Hotel Tivoli La Caleta is a popular family-friendly resort. It is located very close to the beach and has a recent refurbishment. Bars and restaurants can also be found nearby.
There are three big outdoor swimming pools and all of them are heated. In the largest pool, there is a built-in whirlpool and a VIP sunlounger area. In the evening this place is all about live music and sports fans can catch live sports screenings.
For adults, the Anantara Spa is the place to go. There is a state-of-the-art 24-hour gym plus relaxation areas with plunge pools.

10. Gran Melia Palacio De Isora – Guia De Isora
Right outside the Gran Melia Palacio De Isora Resort, you will find a beach with a natural swimming pool. The hotel has high-design interiors and it is a true luxury family-friendly hotel.
The main pool is huge and measures 260 metres in length. It has in-water sunbeds, whirlpools and jets and merges into an infinity pool which is the perfect place for sunset views. There are another four pools including a splash pool, a family pool and a quieter adults-only pool.
There are a number of on-site restaurants and bars including a family bar and a pool bar. You can enjoy live shows three times a week and they run a range of kids’ clubs and a babies’ club. There is plenty to keep the family active with their daily activity programme.

11. Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife – Costa Adeje
The Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife enjoys some wonderful sea views and it is located close to the beach. To the rear of the hotel there are views of volcanic slopes and the curved design means more rooms look out to sea.
This hotel has 2-bedroom family rooms that can sleep up to 5 people. Situated in lush gardens are the hotel’s two swimming pools plus a poolside bar, an adults infinity pool and a children’s pool.
Live music and shows are put on several times of week and there is a duo of bars for post-dinner cocktails. For children, there is a playground and a gym plus beauty treatments for adults.
