Directly situated on a Blue Flag beach is Lyttos Beach Hotel in Crete. It features 6 pools plus 11 bars and restaurants and this place is a hive of activity. Nearby is the village of Analipsi which has a couple of places to eat. The bigger resort of Hersonissos is just a 5-minute taxi ride away. Analipsi has remained rather untouched and there is a pretty restaurant-lined central square. It is a short drive to the local supermarket and just a 30-minute drive to the nearby Heraklion airport.
Lyttos Beach is well known for its range of water sports. This includes jet skis, kayaks, water skiing and paragliding. The beach has sun beds, shades and a row of cafes.
Highlights
As well as the seafront setting the hotel has a great pool scene. There is a huge Olympic-sized pool plus three other pools. One of the pools has waterslides and another has a splash zone for the kids. Younger kids have smaller sides that shoot out the side of an octopus and there is a pirate ship for playing on. You can also choose from two smaller pools for relaxing including a circular beach-view pool and a heart-shaped pool.

Your Board Basis
The hotel’s board is all-inclusive. This includes a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are snacks at set times, selected local-brand alcohol, soft drinks, tea and coffee. The buffet restaurant is open throughout the day. There is also the Calypso Taverna, a snack bar, a lobby bar and a pool bar.
Additional Activities
There are 15 tennis courts and you can book lessons for an additional charge. Other sports facilities include table tennis, volleyball, basketball, golf lessons and mini-football. Kids have a big playground and grown-ups have their own timetable of aqua aerobics, pilates and yoga. Plus there are beauty treatments, a sauna, a gym and a spa. The hotel has a couple of shops, a minimarket, a cash machine, currency exchange and 24-hour reception.
Entertainment
For children aged 4 to 13, there is a kid’s club. The hotel also has a club just for teenagers aged 14 to 17 years. In the evenings there are sometimes themed parties, magic shows, cabaret performances and more. The shows and the mini-disco are held in the on-site amphitheatre. Entertainment is also available in the daytime.
Room Options
Their double rooms can sleep up to 3 people and you can upgrade to enjoy a sea view from your balcony. You can even upgrade to have your own private pool and terrace. Family rooms can sleep up to 4 people and have either a terrace or balcony. All rooms have air-conditioning, TV and Wi-Fi.
