Cyprus is to us one of the best and most ideal destinations in Europe for families. It’s just a few hours away on a plane, it has some of the best weather and it has some fantastic beaches. Not only that it has some fantastic hotels located on one of their great beaches.
In this post, we look at some of the top-rated hotels in Cyprus on a beach with a few included later in the post that are located near a great beach. We also take a look at all of the other great facilities at these hotels.
For families, there is plenty to do in Cyprus including waterparks, animal days out and boat trips. Plus, of course, many golden sandy beaches and some stunning scenery. 1. Hotel Louis Ledra Beach – Paphos
The sleek beachfront hotel of Louis Ledra Beach has a great pool scene and it is a great family-friendly resort. It is situated right on a beautiful beach with golden sand perfect for kids to play in and enjoy a paddle in the sea.
Close to the beach, there is a large square pool plus a children’s pool. This hotel also has an indoor swimming pool that is heated during the winter season so it is not in use from early June until late September.
For children aged 5-12 there is a kid’s club and all the family can look forward to their evening entertainment programme. There are also plenty of daytime activities as well as beach volleyball, tennis courts, table tennis, a children’s playground, bike hire and more.
Board at this hotel is all-inclusive and amongst many things that are included, there is even a minibar in your room with soft drinks and water refilled daily. Rooms include family rooms with sliding rooms so there are two separate areas.

2. Mediterranean Beach Hotel – Limassol, Paphos Area
With sea-facing gardens, a beachfront setting and some excellent restaurants the Mediterranean Beach Hotel is a great resort for families.
They have family rooms that can sleep up to 4 people and have a balcony or a terrace. There is also a choice of board options and there are shops, bars and restaurants 50m away should you decide to get out and about.
There are two large outdoor swimming pools and the main one has a swim-up bar. Plus a kid’s pool and an indoor pool. You can relax in the evening and be entertained by their entertainment programme with professional shows twice a week and live music each evening.
This hotel has a PADI-approved diving centre and children can make new friends at the kid’s club with daily games and activities. Plus there is a playground, a couple of pool tables and a video games room.

3. Hotel Louis Imperial Beach – Paphos
If you are looking for a great hotel situated right next to a Blue Flag beach then the Hotel Louis Imperial Beach could be the one for you. It is located close to Paphos and it is surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is also some bars and restaurants close by.
You have two outdoor pools to choose from and from November to April children can use the indoor pool. Also outdoors there are two children’s pools. There is a kids’ club for ages 4-12 and everyone can enjoy the evening entertainment which may include a cabaret, karaoke, bingo or quiz nights.
This hotel has a great range of extra facilities including table tennis, volleyball, boule, badminton, water polo, a playground and a daytime activity programme. Adults can relax with a spa treatment, sauna or whirlpool bath.
Board here is all-inclusive with a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can eat at the Fiki Japanese Fusion restaurant and the Pygmalion Burger restaurant. Some drinks are also included. Rooms include family rooms with a partition between sleeping areas.

4. Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel – Paphos
Located on a sandy beach with some rocks is the Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel near Paphos. There are three huge swimming pools, two of them have a whirlpool bath and one is just for adults.
Children have two pools to themselves plus a slide. These pools close at sunset. Plus in the winter you may want to make use of the indoor pool as it is heated from November to April.
There are six restaurants all with views of the sea and a choice of bars. Sports-wise there is a tennis court, table tennis and an 18-rink bowling green. You can also challenge your family to a game of indoor bowls and if you want to go for a bike ride the hotel hires out bikes for a small charge.
Kids can unwind in the playground and also the games room. Adults can relax in the spa centre with a sauna and steam bath. You can really stay in style and opt for a junior suite with a sea view, a private pool and a balcony. Or there are regular suites with a sea view and a balcony and other room options.

5. Leonardo Laura Beach and Splash Resort – Paphos
This is one of the best resorts in Cyprus with some superb family-friendly facilities on offer at the Leonardo Laura Beach and Splash Resort. It also enjoys a great beachfront setting.
There is an on-site waterpark which features multi-lane racing slides and a super cool space bowl. Younger guests have a mini splash park too. There is also a cinema where you can relax and watch films together without even having to leave the resort, plus there is an escape room and an arcade too!
All rooms are kitted out with chic furnishings, giving them a modern and contemporary feel. Family rooms offer up more space and sleep for two adults and two children.
The board basis here is All Inclusive. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be taken at the international-style buffet restaurant and there is also an American-style burger joint and an authentic Italian to try out too.

6. Kefalos Beach Village – Paphos
This beachfront hotel is more like a mini village than a hotel. The Sugarcube apartments of the Kefalos Beach Village are surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens with a large pool.
Just a short walk away there are shops, bars and restaurants plus you are just a 10-minute walk away from the historic site the Tombs of the Kings. Rooms are apartments in style and have 1-2 bedrooms plus there are also studios.
The outdoor swimming pool has a bridge that takes you over to the pool bar. You can enjoy impressive sea views while sipping a cocktail. Kids have their own section and there is an indoor pool with a sauna and a whirlpool bath, at an additional charge.
In the evening you can enjoy a range of events such as live music, karaoke, quizzes and live shows. Children have a kid’s club in the summer that they can attend. Plus there are other facilities including a play area, games room, beach volleyball, tennis courts and more.

7. Nissi Beach Resort – Ayia Napa
Located on a sandy beach with gorgeous tropical gardens is the Nissi Beach Resort. The beach is a 500-metre curve of golden sand and it has a snack hut. This hotel has been awarded the Green Beach Award.
Just 140m away you will find nearby restaurants, cafes and bars. Our favourite choice accommodation-wise, for families, is their seafront suites that have a sea view and a terrace plus they sleep up to 4 people.
There is a large 25m outdoor swimming pool that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.
Also outdoors there is a children’s pool and indoors there is a swimming pool that is heated in the winter months.
Children can make new friends at the kid’s club for ages 4-12 and they often have children’s bingo. In the evenings there may be Cypriot dancing, cabaret shows and more. There are so many other things to do here such as 4 tennis courts, a children’s play area, a multi-sports court, video games and many more. Adults can unwind at the health club and there is also a gym and treatments.

8. Hotel Alion Beach – Ayia Napa
The Hotel Alion Beach is situated on a sandy beach and its restaurants have open terraces for admiring the beautiful sea views. The popular Nissi Beach is just a 10-minute drive away plus Ayia Napa Centre and Limanki Harbour aren’t too far away.

9. Hotel Four Seasons – Limassol
At the Hotel Four Seasons, there is a secluded beach with sunloungers and parasols. Their two large outdoor pools are surrounded by tropical gardens and there are four first-class restaurants.
In the evenings you can enjoy live shows and live bands from June to October. There is a kids’ club for younger children aged 3-8 and another for older children aged 7-13. Other activities include beach watersports, a daytime activity programme, tennis and there is a playroom.

10. Amathus Beach Hotel – Limassol
The Amathus Beach Hotel Limassol in Cyprus is one of the leading family hotels in the area. It has earned this accolade by providing guests with superb facilities in a stunning location. The hotel enjoys a beachfront setting right next to a sandy Blue Flag Beach that stretches out for miles.

A firm family favourite is the St Raphael Resort which is home to two curvy pools and is located next to a pristine stretch of sand. The gardens take you down to a private marina where you can spot glitzy yachts.

12. Hotel Capo Bay – Protaras
Fig Tree Bay has been awarded a Blue Flag and right next to this gorgeous beach is the Hotel Capo Bay. Within easy reach of the hotel, there are restaurants and bars.
For families, there are family rooms which are interconnecting and can have a sea view. You have two outdoor pools, although one is adults-only in the warmer months. But with the huge beach right next door you’re not short of places to have fun and cool down.
There is a kid’s club for ages 4-12 and an evening entertainment programme including live music. Other activities include water volleyball, table tennis, a tennis court, a playground and more. For adults, there is the Oneiro Spa Centre, a gym, a steam room and a sauna.

13. Hotel Sunrise Beach – Protaras
No more worrying about sunbeds at this hotel as Sunrise Beach has a handy sunbed allocation system. It is a great hotel for families with its on-the-beach setting and beachfront pool.
With the lagoon-style swimming pool being inches from the beach you can enjoy wonderful Mediterranean Sea views from the pool or your lounger. Children have a separate splash area and there is an indoor pool that is heated in April and October. Adults have their own pool with a swim-up bar.

14. Azia Resort and Spa – Paphos
Located right on the seafront the Azia Resort and Spa is one of the best hotels for watching the sunset. The beach is more rocky than most on this list but there is some sand for building sandcastles on either side.
There are plenty of options for food and drinks including 6 restaurants, 3 bars, 2 lounges and a snack bar. The Azia Resort has family rooms that can sleep up to 5 people. The main outdoor pool has a swim-up bar and adults also have their own pool. Kids have their own area in the main pool and there is also an indoor pool.
Every night of the week there is a different show with dance acts to acrobats and a magic show. The hotel-run kid’s club is for ages 2.5-12 years and older children aged 12-18 have their own teens club.
Other facilities include a daytime activity programme, a games room and a children’s playground. Plus tennis courts, bike hire, minigolf and more. This hotel even has 24-hour room service. Adults can relax at the Asphodel Spa or workout in the gym.
