Skegness Pier

Skegness Pier

Skegness Pier is located on the main coast road, The Grand Parade, in the heart of Skegness, Lincolnshire. It is just a short walk from the main rides and hub of Skegness. There’s plenty to do there including:

Things to do at Skegness Pier

Ten Pin Bowling -Skegness Bowl has plenty of special offers plus glow-in-the-dark bowling sessions. The scoring has an element of fun with different characters on the screen celebrating your highs and lows. You can select which player has bumpers on your lane and they have stands for the little ones to roll their bowling balls down. Adult £6 a game, children £4.50.

Amusements – The amusements at Skegness Pier in Skegness are endless. Not only is there plenty to choose from, by the main entrance, they just keep going and going and going. There are amusements across virtually the whole top floor and believe me that’s a big area. We love the 2p slots there and there are also a few £1 rides for younger kids.

Stroll down Skegness Pier – Once you’ve walked down the endless corridor of amusements you will reach the doors to the rear of Skegness Pier. This takes you out onto the wooden part of the pier. Due to the sea being so far out at Skegness, it’s rare to see the water under the pier. However, it will bring you closer to the sea and it is worth it to take a stroll out to the end for the view and the bracing fresh air.

Captain Kids – Large soft play set on a couple of levels which runs over the top of the cafe area in and around the soft play. It’s a great spot for keeping your eye on your kids and there’s plenty there to keep them entertained. I’d say it’s more for kids aged 4+ as the toddler area is very small with not much there for them. Admission is £2.95 per child aged 3 months up to 3 years. Children aged 3 and over are £4.95 each. Adults are free.

Laser Quest – This is played in a purpose-built arena. A huge glow-in-the-dark maze makes it a challenge to follow players, with lots of corners and barrels to hide behind. Each game will last approximately 15 minutes which includes the safety briefing and kit up. You have to be 1.1m or taller to play. One game is £6.25 per person, £8.60 for two games and £10.95 for three games (peak rates)

Clip n’ Climb – The experience includes a 30-minute introduction, harness fitting and safety briefing before a full 55 minutes of climbing in the arena for £12.95 per person. They also have a leap of faith that costs £2.50 per person.

Escape rooms – You have an hour to solve riddles, clues, puzzles and more to get yourselves out of the themed locked room. Adults are priced at £17.50 each and children under 16 are £12.50 each.

Hero Zone – In addition to Captain Kids’ soft play, they now have an exciting ball blaster area. Minimum height 0.8m. Children £4 each.
