Since writing my popular post about the Best Family Caravan Parks in the UK I have come across some other great family-friendly caravan sites. Rather than update the list I decided to write a new one for 25 more of the best family-friendly caravan parks in the United Kingdom. Happy holidaying……. Alton The Star, Camping and Caravanning Club site, Staffordshire

Enjoy the thrills of camping near Alton Towers and the beautiful Peak District from this Club Site. The Peak District National Park is right on the doorstep of Alton, The Star Club campsite.
If you are looking for Alton Towers camping, this attractive, well-maintained family-friendly site is perfectly placed, being just a mile from the theme park. Similarly, those who enjoy heading off into the great outdoors will not be disappointed with some great walking country right on the doorstep.
Carsington Water and Visitor Centre, northeast of the campsite, offers a wide range of activities for all the family on and off the water including miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore, a children’s play area, fishing and many water sports.
Facilities – This is a top-rated site for its playground. It is a well-sheltered site with full facilities including Wi-Fi. The site is great for families.
On-Site – They have pitches for campers and tourers. With hard-standing super pitches, grass pitches with electric hook-up and hard-standing with electric hookups. They have showers, dishwashing facilities, toilet blocks, washing machines and more. BOOK NOW
Blackpool South Caravan Club Site, Lancashire
Address: Cropper Rd, Blackpool FY4 5LB
Blackpool South Club Site is an ideal gateway to the beautiful Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Famous attractions include The Sands and the Illuminations (late August to early November) and the Blackpool Pleasure Beach where you will find thrilling rides like the tallest, scariest roller coaster in the UK.
But the reasons to stay at Blackpool South aren’t limited to the city limits of Blackpool. Just a few miles south of the site are the more relaxed towns of Lytham and St Anne’s, famous for their golf courses and elegant shopping arcades as well as beautiful restaurants and exhilarating walks. St Anne’s has plenty of sandy beaches ideal for families.
Facilities – There is a playground on-site and the caravan park is well-situated for easy access to Blackpool. Making it a great family-friendly caravan park.
On-Site – They have pitches for tourers and motorhomes. No tents. Facilities include a dishwashing area, drive-over wast disposal for motorhomes, electric hook-up and washrooms. Plus laundry facilities, a toilet block, good TV reception and Wi-Fi.
Cirencester Park Caravan Club Site, Gloucestershire
Address: Stroud Road, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL7 1UT
Set in beautiful Grade I listed parkland, Cirencester Park Club Site is a peaceful oasis that forms part of the lovely Bathurst Estate.
Great for walks in the surrounding natural landscapes or picnics under the shade of statuesque trees, the caravan site is also close to the thriving market town of Cirencester, once the second-largest town in England during the Roman occupation.
The town offers attractions for the whole family from shopping and sampling local food treats to visiting nostalgic landmarks such as its picturesque church and well-kept museum.”

Conkers Club Site Camping and Caravanning, Derbyshire

Camp in the heart of the National Forest with walking and cycling from the site. The National Forest covers 200 square miles, embracing some of Staffordshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. It’s a place to enjoy a variety of activities from forest walks and gentle cycling to horse riding and fishing.
It also encompasses numerous attractions from Calke Abbey, the National Brewery Centre, National Memorial Arboretum and right at its heart, the Conkers visitor centre offering a Discovery Centre, sculpture trail and an assault course for teenagers. It’s next door to this award-winning attraction that you’ll find our popular Conkers Club campsite.
Facilities – This is a great site for families and also for cycling. There is a children’s play area and it’s ideal for visiting Conkers.
On-Site – As well as pitches for tourers and campers they also have glamping tents to stay in at their Ready Camp. They have grass pitches with or without electric, plus hardstanding electric pitches. They have a shower and toilet block, plus washing facilities, club wi-fi and more. BOOK NOW
Deers Glade, Norwich Norfolk

Deer’s Glade is open 365 days a year. Deer’s Glade Caravan and Camping Park is an exciting David Bellamy Conservation Gold Award-winning caravan site in Norfolk.
It is a quiet, dog-friendly, family-run caravan park and campsite set in a beautiful woodland clearing in North Norfolk, catering for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents and offering Pods, bell tents and shepherd’s hut – a perfect venue for a relaxing holiday in the countryside.
Facilities – Fishing, outdoor playground, sheep to pet, evening events such as BBQs, woodland walks and more in this peaceful setting.
On-Site – They have pods, shepherd’s huts and bell tents available to rent on-site. They also have touring pitches for campers and caravanners. Eyemouth, Borders Scotland

With stunning views and a quiet atmosphere, Eyemouth is positioned on a dramatic headland, from where you can see across to the fishing town and sandy beach.
Whether you want beach games or picnics; you’ll be spoilt for choice with three beaches nearby. And if you just want to chill out in the park, there are plenty of activities here too. Fancy a swim? You can use the local indoor swimming pool for free and it’s just a few minutes walk from the park.

Set into a cliff-top that overlooks the fishing town of Eyemouth on the Berwickshire coast, Eyemouth Holiday Park is the perfect entry point for your motorhome or caravan holiday in Scotland. The Park sits by several beaches with a rugged coastland that veers from calm sandy beaches to the dramatic Rocklands of Killiedraught Bay.
Pull up to Eyemouth with your tourer in tow, or head straight to your pitch in a motorhome and enjoy the great facilities that will make your stay comfortable and convenient. All pitches at Eyemouth are electric, with access to waste disposal points, a dishwashing area, drinking water taps, showers and toilets with baby changing and disabled access. Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, Devon

Located on Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic Coastline, with its own private beach! The Jurassic Fun Centre (closed to the public 21st July-31st August), entertainment and generous facilities on offer mean that whether you’re looking for camping or touring, holiday home hire or ownership in Dorset.
Facilities – The Jurassic Fun Centre has indoor pools with water slides, water features and an island. Plus ten-pin bowling, a sauna and steam room, a gym and a bar. There are shows in the evening including family-friendly events. Plus daytime activities to keep the kids entertained. This is a great family-friendly caravan park.
On-site – The site offers touring and camping pitches. They also have a range of static caravans available to hire. Surrounded by beautiful countryside yet just a short stroll from the beach, our camping area covers over 20 acres of level grassland plus some additional sloping areas. It’s well laid out with surfaced roads and lighting and there’s plenty of electric hook-ups available. BOOK NOW
Greenacres Animal Farm, Deeside North Wales

On-site there is a little farm with a few rides for the kids. Camping/Caravaning actually works out cheaper than going there for a day out. Staying overnight includes entrance to the farm, petting areas, feeding baby goats/lambs etc and fairground/soft play. There is entertainment at the weekend and a cheap on-site cafe has a license in the evenings. An extremely tight turn to get in is the only downside.
Facilities – As mentioned above a touring or camping pitch also includes entrance to the farm. The farm’s facilities include a fairground, animal encounters, pets corner, traction engine rides and a soft play barn.
On-site – You can pitch on this site as either a tourer or a camper. There is an excellent Caravan and Camping Park at Greenacres, so you can stay for the night, weekend break or even longer! The fields are adjacent to the Animal Park and we have electric hook-up facilities for both caravans and tents. There are good toilet and shower facilities, including a disabled toilet. Hafan-y-Mor Holiday Park Haven, Wales

Hafan y Môr Holiday Park is one of Haven’s biggest parks, and every inch is filled with family fun! Highlights include the Dragon Lakes Adventure Village and multi-level indoor soft play area. There is the Splashaway Bay swimming pool with slides, flumes and a wave machine. The stunning Snowdonia National Park is just a 25-minute drive away.
Facilities – With so much space available on the park, they’ve been able to cram in loads of great facilities. Kiln Park Haven Holiday Park, Tenby Wales

Primrose Valley Holiday Park is one of Haven’s biggest and every last inch is brimming with family fun. Bathing beauties will love their indoor swimming pool, packed with splish-splashy features and fun things to do, including a multi-lane water slide.

Knaresborough Caravan Club Site, North Yorkshire
Address: Knaresborough Club Site, New Rd, Scotton, Knaresborough HG5 9HH – North Yorkshire
The site has woodland around it, a clubhouse, an outdoor heated pool (summer months), play areas, a dog exercise area, a Golf course and a hotel next door, They are a short drive from either Harrogate or Knaresborough and there is a nice touring area with decent spaces.
Facilities – There is a playground on site plus a brand new bistro. It is a perfect gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and the many attractions of the North of England. The site is surrounded by mature trees and hedges and on fine days it is sunny yet well sheltered. (I can see no mention of a pool on their website).
On-Site – They have 79 touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes (sorry no camping pitches). They’ve recently added more toilet and shower facilities. Access to the site has also been improved, service points and motorhome waste points upgraded, and 19 grass pitches converted to all-weather surfaces.
Lakeland Haven, Lake District
Address: Moor Ln, Flookburgh, Grange-over-Sands LA11 7LT – Lake District
Lakeland Leisure Park has all the usual favourites (like AquaJets and AquaGliders) in their indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Plus hit the lake for kayaking, canoeing, pedalos and paddleboarding with their very own water sports centre. For more dry-footed fun, brave their Aerial Adventure course up in the treetops. Or if you don’t fancy heights, you can while away the hours on the challenging 9-hole golf course.
Facilities – Heated outdoor and heated indoor pool. Plus water sports, a 9-hole golf course, entertainment, a nature trail and much more. Lakeland Haven is a perfect holiday park for a family-friendly break.
On-Site – They have static caravans and luxury lodges available to rent. Plus pitches for tourers and campers. Lakeland offers all the facilities you could need for a great touring and camping holiday. There are 187 flat, grass pitches, welcoming tourers, motorhomes, tents and trailer tents. Nodes Point, Isle of Wight

With grand views and an idyllic location, it should be at the top of the list for anyone going on a camping or touring holiday on the Isle of Wight.
The Nodes Point Holiday Park offers electric, non-electric and super pitches to touring customers – the latter have digital TV point hook-ups as well as electricity. Non-electric pitches are 6m x 6m, electric pitches are 7m x 7m and Super pitches are 8m x 8m. All touring customers get access to the excellent suite of facilities, which includes showers & toilets, water collection points and waste-water disposal.”
Rudding Holiday Park, Harrogate North Yorkshire

The larger sites use clever planting and hedging to provide more privacy and come with water and waste connections, a grassed area and a car parking space.
Sandy Bay, Northumberland

Whether you’re towing a caravan or driving a motorhome, the 6m x 6m pitches all have electric hook-up points. You’ll also have access to a host of great facilities including park-wide Wi-Fi, awning space, chemical and wastewater disposal, a dishwashing area and drinking water taps.
Seton Sands Haven, Scotland

Quote: Seton Sands Holiday Village might well be one of Haven’s prettiest parks. It’s small but perfectly formed. Plus you’ll see glorious views over the Firth of Forth, crossed by the seriously impressive Forth railway bridge (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
As the name suggests, they are super close to the beach, with acres of soft sand on hand. In the main park, there is a heated indoor pool. When you dry off, you can try the 9-hole golf course. Or take a trip to Edinburgh, it’s practically next door.
Activities – They have a heated indoor pool, a 9-hole golf course, an adventure trail and entertainment. Plus a fishing lake and the site isn’t too far from a sandy beach. This is a great family-friendly caravan park.
On-Site – They have static caravans which you can rent plus they have a site for tourers and campers. They have great facilities and different types of pitches to choose from. Their touring area is flat and grassy and is made up of Euro electric pitches with hard-standing bases and awning space. Shamba Holidays, Ringwood, Near New Forest

Ideally situated to explore Hampshire and Dorset (including Peppa Pig World). Shamba Holidays offers touring and camping facilities in the pleasant countryside close to the New Forest and Bournemouth with its fine beaches.
Shamba Holidays is a seven-acre level park conveniently located off the A31, set down a private lane and is sheltered on all sides by hedging, trees or fencing. They have 150 pitches all with an electric hook-up facility and welcome caravans, motorhomes and tents.
The holiday park appeals to country lovers and young families who wish to enjoy the host of attractions that the local area has to offer. Please note that the park has limited facilities for teenagers.
Facilities – 40ft heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool with a separate toddler paddling pool. Clubhouse with games room, bar and takeaway. Family-friendly entertainment, plus a children’s play area.

Shamba has a modern amenity building which incorporates award-winning facilities, including toilets, ladies and gents showers, family/disabled changing and shower rooms, a family bathroom (small charge), an enclosed wash-up area and a launderette.

Skipsea Sands, East Yorkshire

Popular for its fantastic on-park facilities and amazing views over the North Sea. There is a great range of entertainment features on the park itself and you’re never more than a short drive away from one of the nearby beaches at Fraisthorpe, Bridlington or Hornsea.

Trevornick Holiday Park, Near Newquay Cornwall

With seven fields and six different pitch types, you can choose the level of touring or camping that suits you. Fling open the door to a lakeside view, opt for a dog-friendly pitch, or try a semi-hardstanding super-plus pitch.

Warren Farm Holiday Centre, Somerset

Great pitches with a short walk to the beach. Onsite clubhouse with entertainment and shop play area for children. Warren Farm Holiday Centre is located in the coastal village of Brean Sands, set amidst stunning Somerset countryside and a large stretch of sandy beach.
They are a family-run holiday park that caters for touring and camping, as well as having static caravan accommodation available to rent.
