When we go away with our touring caravan one of the things at the top of our list of musts to have is a beach. But along with finding a good family-friendly site finding a site that’s really close to a beach can also be a complete minefield.

I’ve lost count of the number of times I thought that I was looking at a site with beach access only to realise that the seaside is actually 10 minutes plus drive away. So I have created this post 30 Great Caravan Parks on or Very Near to a Beach – UK. If you click on a link in this piece, we may earn affiliate revenue.

These are in no particular order. I have simply started near the bottom of the UK and worked my way up.

Perran Sands Haven – Near Perranporth Cornwall

“It has its own beautiful beach and although it does offer entertainment as all the Haven parks do, you can easily avoid that and just enjoy its wonderful surroundings, they have their own nature ranger too who runs activities for the children such as nature trails and orienteering. Quote from review “The beach is absolutely beautiful and definitely somewhere you want to head to if the weather is dry. It’s accessed down a slope and fortunately, the hubby couldn’t navigate his way down on crutches. There are lots of picnic tables all along the front so we parked him up here with a coffee while myself and b went off to explore.

The beach is pebbly but don’t let that put you off. I actually like pebbles because it means we can throw them into the sea and hunt for cool stones and shells. Sand is so overrated – it gets everywhere! The tide times are published opposite the beach shack so if you time it right, you might get a bit of sand to dig in.” by Emma Dowey at MeandBmaketea – full review here.
