Moira Furnace Museum and Country Park

Moira Furnace is a 19th-century iron-making blast furnace in Moira, Leicestershire. It is now a museum set within a country park. You can enjoy walks along the canal or maybe take a boat trip on a narrowboat.

The blast furnace is a rare surviving example and it is still used today for workshops. The museum tells the story of iron-making and social history. There is also a children’s play area and a craft village which also houses the tearoom. Other things to do include taking a walk in the ancient woodland, fishing and boat rides. The boat trips take you down the Ashby Canal.
