Sandworld Sculpture Park
Sandworld is a really unique place to visit. I’m not sure there is anywhere else in the UK where you can see huge sand sculptures. They also have a large sandpit for you to create your own masterpieces, out of the local sand of course.
This isn’t a one-off sand festival, this place is open for most of the year. The sculptures often change and they are always themed on something recognisable to most people. Past sand sculptures have included Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Avengers, Harry Potter and Ancient Greece.
The sculptures are protected from the weather, each one is carved from compacted damp sand by World Class Sand Artists. There is a large outdoor sandpit with a canopy cover that kids can have a play in with plenty of buckets and spades to get you going. You can have a go at filling a bottle and creating your own sand bottle art for £2.
