GreenWood Family Park
GreenWood Family Park, located near Y Felinheli in North Wales, is one of the region’s most popular family attractions, known for its mix of outdoor adventure, imaginative play and eco‑friendly rides. Set in beautiful woodland between Bangor and Caernarfon, the park offers a full day of fun for families with children of all ages.
One of the standout features is the Green Dragon Roller Coaster, the world’s first people‑powered coaster. Riders help generate the energy needed to pull the cars to the top before enjoying a gentle, family‑friendly thrill through the trees. Another favourite is Solar Splash, a huge solar‑powered water slide with twisting tubes and fast descents that are perfect for warm days.
Younger visitors will love the Enchanted Wood, TreeTop Towers, and the Giant Jumper, where they can climb, bounce and explore safely. The BareFoot Trail is a unique sensory walk that takes families through sand, water, bark and other natural textures. There’s also Den Building, Archery, Diggers, and a fun Adventure Playground that encourages imaginative outdoor play.
For little ones, GreenWood has plenty of gentle attractions including the Little Forest PlayBarn, Tunnel Warren, and Mini Diggers, giving toddlers and younger children their own spaces to explore. The park also runs seasonal activities, craft sessions and interactive shows that add extra excitement throughout the year.
GreenWood is known for its eco‑friendly approach, using renewable energy to power several of its attractions. The woodland setting makes it feel relaxed and natural, with plenty of picnic spots, open space and shaded areas for families to unwind between activities.
