Exhibition Park
Exhibition Park is a public park located in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear. It has retained its Victorian bandstand and there is a small lake which is home to geese and ducks.
Things to do at the park include a children’s play area and a skate park. There are two croquet lawns and free-to-play tennis courts. The park hosts a range of festivals and sporting events throughout the year.
The park once hosted the 1887 Royal Jubilee Exhbition which attracted over 2 million visitors and the 1929 North East Coast Exhbition. The impressive art deco Palace of the Arts is the only building that remains which is now home to Wylam Brewery. Around the park, there are tree-lined paths, grassed areas and flowerbeds. You can enjoy a walk around the park or even bring your bike.
