What can you do at Salisbury Cathedral?

The Cathedral was built between 1310 and 1330. Their spire tower is 123 metres above the ground and you can climb the tower as part of a tour. There are 332 steps to the top and their expert guides will uncover the hidden stories of the Cathedral’s construction and show you these roof spaces up close. Under 7s are not permitted and your ticket includes admission to the rest of the Cathedral and the Magna Carta.

Your entrance ticket includes entry into the Cathedral and Chapter House with the Magna Carta and they are then valid for a year from the date of purchase enabling you to return for free, over the next 12 months. They also offer Behind the Scenes tours and demonstrations.

You can see surviving Magna Carta documents from 1215, this is the best preserved of only four surviving documents with the others being held in The British Library and Lincoln Castle. There is a multi-media exhibition.

Standard adult entry is £9 online in advance, children under 12 are free, and ages 12-16 are £6.50 in advance. Tower tours are £18 per adult when pre-booked online and children aged 7-16 are £11.
