Cholderton’s rare breeds farm is on the outskirts of Cholderton, near Salisbury in Wiltshire. They are dedicated to the conservation of rare breed farm animals, showcasing them in a natural and traditional setting within 42 acres of countryside.

What is there to do at Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm?

Cholderton Charlie’s farm is packed full of animals, including goats, ponies, sheep, pigs, donkeys and chickens. Plus Highland cattle, ducks, rabbits and geese. Many of these animals, you can feed, pet and cuddle. There is plenty of outdoor space and play equipment for kids to enjoy. One of their most popular attractions is pig racing. They also have daily activities such as meeting the goats and the Highland cow.

Play equipment includes an indoor soft play area, Outdoors there is a Treehouse with a zip line and there are climbing frames, trampolines, nature walks and more.

You can also book an Alpaca walking experience. You will walk them in their vineyards, farmland and woodland. The whole experience lasts for about an hour and booking is essential. There is an additional charge for this experience.

Is there food and drink available?

There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.

Farm with rare breed animals, you can feed and cuddle, they have daily events and indoor and outdoor play areas. There are toilets and a cafe.

What are the ticket prices?

An adult ticket costs £9, children £8 and children under 2 are free.
Prices are subject to change and/or discounts online.

When are they open?

Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm is open almost all year round, they are closed from the 24th – 26th, from 31st December – 1st January. For up-to-date opening times please visit their website.
