Ackers Adventure is an outdoor activity centre which offers both water sports and land activities and there is a dry ski slope. They are a great place for families to visit and try something new. They are located a few miles out of Birmingham city centre in the West Midlands.

Things to do at Ackers Adventure

They offer a range of snowsports including tubing and tobogganing that both take on a festive feel on the run-up to Christmas. Tobogganing is currently hired out in groups of up to 6 for 30 minutes. Children from the age of 3 can take part and the sessions take place on their smaller slopes. Tubing sessions last for 30 minutes and are suitable for those age 8 and over. The length of the slope will be determined by the weather which can range from 50-100 metres. You can also have a go at skiing and if you’ve never done it before there are learn to ski group lessons. You can also book private ski lessons.

Their adventure activities include bushcraft courses and canoe tours plus family lessons. They run holiday camps and other activities include disc golf, recreational climbing, archery and kayaking. For the thrill-seekers, you can book family activity days which include skiing, archery, climbing, canoeing, kayaking, their zip wire and tower drop. Plus free, tobogganing for under 12s with a paying adult. These family sessions run similar to how a theme park would as you queue up for the activities that you would like to try and some you can go on multiple times.

Is there food and drink available?

There is no cafe but you can purchase drinks. You are welcome to picnic outside.

Outdoor activity centre with dry slope skiing, tubing and tobogganing. Plus archery, zip wire, canoeing, disc golf, climbing and more. There are toilets.

What are the ticket prices?

Thrillseekers family day costs £25.50 per person. Recreational skiing costs £15 per child and £18 per adult. Disc golf is £5 per person and tobogganing is £30 for a group of up to 6. There are lots of other activities available at different prices.
