Things to do at Alice Holt Forest review
Alice Holt Forest is a royal forest in Hampshire just a few miles south of Farnham in Surrey. It is now mainly planted with conifers and is a great family-friendly place to visit.
The forest truly has something for everyone with an exciting Treetop Go Ape adventure plus different trails and play areas for you to discover. They also have Gruffalo sculptures but currently, they are being repaired.
Alice Holt offers great opportunities for natural cycling with two cycling trails that enjoy the fantastic scenery. There is also cycle hire on-site. For walkers, there are also a number of waymarked trails or smaller paths that criss-cross the forest. Trails include a habitat trail perfect for families. a Lodge pond trail and a Shipwrights way trail. Plus an easy access trail, Willows green trail and a Timberline trail.
The Timberline Trail is suitable for the whole family with play structures leading away from the central area to their Timberline play area. They also have some tunnels on the Habitat trail. There is also a Gruffalo orienteering trail plus a fun Gruffalo spotters trail. Using their Gruffalo Spotters 2 app you can follow the trail that tells the story of the Gruffalo in a fun and interactive way. (you can also pick up a fun activity pack to accompany you on the trail). There is a charge for the pack but with the app you can complete the trail without purchasing the pack.
