Anglesey Sea Zoo
Anglesey Sea Zoo is an aquarium located just outside the village of Brynsiencyn on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. They are also an independent research and marine education centre. It claims to be the biggest aquarium, in Wales and it displays over 150 native species in over 40 tanks.
At the aquarium, you will find fascinating creatures from around the coasts of the UK. These include lobsters, octopuses, seahorses, conger eels and jellyfish. You can learn about British marine habitats and the work that is done to help save them.
Kids will love the crashing wave tank where water is dumped down into it every 30 seconds or so. There are some really strange creatures to spot in the breeding and conservation area. Will you be able to spot the conger eels, huge starfish and the spiny spider crabs in the Shipwreck? There are plenty of other areas waiting to be discovered. The aquarium also has an adventure playground. There is a giant Octojump bouncy castle with a slide, crazy golf and outdoor picnic sites.
