Belfairs Wood Park and Nature Reserve

The Belfairs Wood Park and Nature Reserve are located near Southend-on-Sea in Essex. The Belfairs Nature Discovery Centre is the gateway to the Daws Heath Woodland with 200 acres of ancient woodland, some of the trees are more than 1,000 years old.

You can walk, explore and play on-site with something for everyone to discover. Woodland walks include the Seven Woods Walk. There is a range of walks available and it is worth enquiring about which would suit you best at the discovery centre.

Also in the woods, there is a sculpture trail and a council-owned play area. The centre runs a range of family-friendly events and activities throughout the year.
