Corby Boating Lake

Corby Boating Lake

Last Updated on April 7, 2024 by Suzy McCullough

Corby Boating Lake is located on Cottingham Road in Corby, Northamptonshire. It has recently seen major redevelopment of the play area and although not a day out it is a great family-friendly place to visit.

The play area was opened in 2021 and has an underwater sea theme. The main attraction is a huge pirate ship which is more suited to older children and there is plenty to climb on. There are swings, and an obstacle course, again more aimed at older children. For younger children, there is a smaller ship, musical instruments and more.

If you want to extend your visit you can also walk around the fishing lakes. The boating lake itself was constructed in the early ’70s and you can enjoy fishing and watching model boats on Thursdays and Sundays. You can no longer hire boats despite the location’s name. There are usually plenty of ducks and geese to feed so make sure you take them some bird-friendly food.
