Fermyn Woods Country Park

Fermyn Woods and Country Park is located close to Brigstock in Northamptonshire. It is a pretty place to take your kids for a walk and you can enjoy a bit of wildlife spotting while you are there. There is a fun play area, fishing and fun nature activity groups for younger children.
What is there to do at Fermyn Woods Country Park?
Kids can climb on the giant red kite, scramble like a squirrel or have fun on the wild play trail. There is also a play castle and you can build a den in the great thicket. There are often butterflies, toads, lizards and newts to spot and they have fun spotter sheets that you can download from their website.
If you remember to take some crayons and paper they also have a brass rubbing trail. Look out for the red route on their different waymarked trails and you should be able to spot the brass rubbing locations.
The country park is an excellent outdoor environment for activity sessions. The park offers ranger-led sessions for local organisations so make sure you check out the events section of their website as this is where you can find an activity to book such as Nature Tots, Wild n Woody sessions and more.
