Things to do at Greenmeadow Community Farm review

The Greenmeadow Community Farm is set in over 80 acres in South Wales and they have a wide range of pedigree and rare breed animals, which you can come and meet close up. There are daily activities.

They have been a working farm for over 250 years and in the late 1980s, the farm was saved by a group of local people who wanted to protect this beautiful green space from being turned into another housing estate. They offer lots of farming fun, activities and hands-on learning. Daily activities include milking demonstrations, cuddle corner and tractor and trailer rides. They also have lots of additional activities during the school holidays as well as seasonal, events, throughout the year.

Animals on the farm include a good number of cattle, a great range of pigs and goats. Plus sheep, donkeys, ponies, chickens, tortoises, rabbits, guinea pigs, deer and more. The farm also has an outdoor play area, mud kitchen and other things to play on.

Greenmeadow is home to a Stick Man trail and has been since 2017. The trail is based on the popular Stick Man characters from Gruffalo author, Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler. Their self-guided trail takes you on a tour around the farm while enjoying the Stick man theme.

They also offer experience days at the farm these include being a farmer for the day. This activity costs £30 per person including lunch. Activities depend on the season and what jobs need to be done. You can also book a bushcraft experience day and are for 8-14-year-olds. They cost £40 for children on bushcraft for kids days and £30 for bushcraft for the family days. The farm also hosts a great range of baby and toddler weekday events,.
