Things to do at Jubilee Park review

Jubilee park is a lovely little park in the heart of Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire. Its main attraction is its outdoor lido and it’s somewhere we’ve spent many happy hours.

The outdoor heated pool is usually open from mid-April until early October. There is a large pool which is heated to 29oC. It often is so warm that it feels like we are getting into a bath. There is a shallow end and a deep end plus a small dolphin slide for the little ones.

They also have a large toddler/baby pool with a fun tap that pours water into the pool. This pool is shallow but does have a slightly deeper end from one side to the other. It can sometimes feel colder than the big pool and sometimes warmer.

They have plenty of grassed areas for laying out on and plenty of benches for family and friends to sit on around the pool. It’s advisable to bring a blanket or towels to lie on. You can rent a sun lounger for the day at £1.50 each. As there are no umbrellas or trees for the shade it may be an idea to bring a pop-up sun tent for the little ones.

They also have plenty of changing cubicles and can look after your valuables if you so desire. There is a café on site which sells hot and cold food. The ice cream is fabulous, especially the raspberry ripple. It’s all priced really fairly.

Try and find some time in your day to take the kids to the playground that’s next door. Some of the equipment is relatively new and it’s a great play area for all ages.

If you want to stay locally Jubilee park has its own caravan park right next to the park and swimming pool. The caravanning and camping club have a site next door called the Petwood caravan site. There are a few friendly hotels also to be found in Woodhall spa. Woodhall country park is also nearby and as well as offering touring pitches they also have luxury lodges to rent. There is also tennis, putting, bowls, croquet and table tennis. Plus a new members-only gym.
