Pigs in the Wood

Pigs In The Wood is located in Scissett, West Yorkshire. It is a sanctuary for pigs and they open on certain days to the public. Their pigs are cared for by a team of volunteers.

What is there to do at Pigs in the Wood?

They are based in 10 acres of woodland where their pigs roam free and live. They are home to around 20 pigs. They provide a home for pigs and other animals, that have been abused or mistreated. They also try to find their pigs a new home where they will be happy.

They are mostly open at weekends for tours. There is a minimum donation of £6 per person with under 2s considered as being free. A big must is that you wear wellies. The sanctuary won’t let you visit their pigs without them. They often host a number of events, such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas.
