Retford Kings Park

I tend to only include places to visit that either have a website or a Facebook page. King’s Park in Retford has neither. However, it is a great place for families to visit especially in the summer when the splash park is open.

What can you do at Retford Kings Park?

King’s Park is a multi-award-winning park that is around 10 acres in size. It is well-maintained and boasts wonderful flower beds and lots of places to sit. There is a river running through the park so take some duck food just in case. There are also formal and informal gardens that you can walk around plus some woodland walks.

The park has a good children’s play area plus a skate park. Kids will have great fun in the splash park which is usually open from May to September. This has water cannons, a pirate ship, jets and hanging buckets. There is a sand play area, tennis courts and a bowling green.
