The Rex Cinema is located in Elland, near Halifax, West Yorkshire. The picture house was originally opened in 1912 and it is one of the oldest purpose-built cinemas in the UK. It even saw some time as a Bingo Club, it is now a cinema once again.

The cinema has a Conn 651 organ and concerts are held on the third Sunday of every month. The organ is also played on Saturday evenings before the film and during the interval. They show family films every Saturday and Sunday afternoon and most weekdays during school holidays.

The Rex has been fitted with Pullman seats throughout and Dolby Stereo surround sound. You can even hire the cinema for your child’s birthday party. They sell a range of drinks and snacks.
